I'm secretly rewriting this Game Engine
Hello everyone!
I've been secretly working on a Dynami Engine rewrite and I decided that I'll share its development on YouTube and the Source Code over my Patreon!
I've made the first video on YouTube explaining it, so check it out for more details:
The idea is that I'll be sharing (almost daily) devlogs of the development process, so you can see exactly how I'm making it and learn from this process. With the source code, you will also be able to look at implementation details or even use the engine for your own game projects as a Library if you want.
Regarding the engine itself, at the moment it works on Windows, but I'll implement Linux and Emscripten backends as soon as the Core part of the Engine is done. It does not have any external dependencies (everything needed is within the engine), which is a fundamental design decision I'm making for this project. This also means that the executable size will end up being very small, which is good. I'm also experimenting Python Embedding with pocketpy instead of cpython (that I use for Cave), since it has A LOT of dependencies. The ultimate goal of this engine it to make it as tiny and versatile as possible.
If you are interested in the source code for this, check this Patreon post:

So that's it, folks! Stay tuned for the next updates, because Dynami will be back! :)
